Two Metre Square/ Dhá Mhéadar Cearnach

Léiriú a dhéanann iniúchadh ar saoire agus ar uaigneas i limistéir cearnóige dhá mhéadar cearnach. An féidir saoirse a bhraistint istigh sna teorainneacha seo? Is mar chuid d’oibre leanúnach é an píosa seo, a dhéanann iniúchadh ar ár nasc do chóngaracht, ár dtaithí ar a bheith scartha ó dhaoine, chomh maith le iargúltacht agus conas a théann sé i bhfeidhm orainn. Tá tionchar mór ag taithí pearsanta na n-ealaíontóirí; taispeánann an obair seo conas a dhéanann siad a mbealach tríd trí mheáin gluaiseachta agus focail i dteangacha dúchasacha na n-ealaíontóirí – Gaolainn, Gearmáinis, Béarla.

A performance exploring freedom and isolation in a two metre square. Can freedom be found within these boundaries? This multi-disciplinary piece is part of ongoing work exploring our connections to closeness, our experiences of distancing and looks at what isolation means and how it affects us. The work is grounded in the personal experiences of the artists and captures how they each navigate these elements through movement and spoken word in their native languages – Irish, German and English.
